When i played the title track of the new I Scintilla EP for the First time i thought for a moment I was listening to a new track from The Azoic, since ‘Prey on You’ is straight forward futurepop electro and singer Brittany very much resembles Kristy from the Azoic. The following ‘Ammunition’ however shows a much heavier industrial metal sound and reminds more of the material presented on I Scintilla’s debut album Optics. The third new track on this EP is ‘Hollowed’ which is stylistically in beteen the two previous tracks with an infectious dose of electro rock. The other five tracks are remixes. ‘Prey on You’ has been reworked by Sebastian Komor (Icon of Coil, Zombie Girl), the hardstyle project Studio-X and Cylab. ‘Ammunition’ by the industrial techno formation C/A/T and ‘Hollowed’ by industrial pioneers Die Warzau. I Scintilla presents very strong material on this EP and again shows Brittany Bidrim is a exceptionally good vocalist. The debut album Optics already presented some nice tracks but the material on this EP is even catchier. The expectations for the upcoming new album become high with strong material like this.
