Impulse

<< Back

File Not Found got noticed with their previous album Division By Zero in the club circuit due to the hit sensitive song ‘No Nothing Never’. Unfortunately this song proved to be a one hit wonder since the album itself was not equally strong and also the follow-up, titled Impulse and out since recently, is not an overall accomplished achievement. The big negative aspect of this third album of the German synthpop electro outfit File Not Found is the lack of gripping songs. The retro electro of this band contains nice sounds and has an overall warm analogue sound but the songs itself are not equally strong. File Not Found has tried on this album to write songs with more depth but this has failed. The first track that stands out, isn’t earlier than the eight track on the track list, ‘Voice of Control’ which contains more energy than all of the previous tracks. Also nice are ‘Circuits’ and the minimal sounding ‘Mathematics’. This however is not enough for a positive review of this album.
