Distort Neural Unit

<< Back

The Texan label Sigsaly Transmissions released an oldskool EBM album before with the excellent album of the Swedish Autodafeh. Now they are back with an album with hard-hitting body music and this time it is the album of K-Bereit. This French project has gained some recognition in the EBM world since it is a continuation project from Dominique who was active in the Kriegbereit project and also one of the former members of Cobalt 60. Cobalt 60 was one of the many projects in which Front 242’s Jean-Luc DeMeyer was active as singer. Distort Neural unit is the first K-Bereit album and what they treat us on here is sheer loud EBM with industrial influences that reminds strongly of the 90’s. The EBM from K-Bereit is very danceable with heavy beats and firm sequences and this makes it perfect material for the dance floor. As listening album it is a bit monotonous but nobody cares about that when it is oldskool EBM music. On this album there are guest appearances from members of Punish Yourself, Autodafeh, Dolls of Pain and Signal Aout 42. A remarkable but sympathetic gesture is that also two other projects, Under All and Psychomatik, get the chance to show what they’re worth in two tracks on this K-Bereit debut. This is also nice material, but for the real deal you have to be with K-Bereit. Not as good as Autodafeh, but still very acceptable.
