Implant is the Belgian electro-project from Len Lemeire. Since 1992 he regularly released albums. The counter now stands on eight albums, seven ep's and a bunch of remixes he made for other electronic pioneers like Anne Clark or Front 242. Now the newest, eight album, 'Implantology' is about to be released. It could have been a title for a 'best of' album, but it isn't.
The album is filled with new tracks and shows elements from electro-clash, industrial and EBM. I can tell you that each track is about to make your legs make uncontrollable moves. For this 'Implantology' album Lemeire got the help and support of Front 242's Jean-Luc De Meyer, The Neon Judgement, Psy' Aviah, Plastic Noise Experience and Angelspit. Each one of these bands was responsible once or more for the vocal parts on this album. While listening to the fourteen tracks on this cd, it strikes me that the tempo never really sinks under 100BPM, which means that nearly ever single track is suitable for the dancefloor. Club-dj's will take their profit from it. A remarkable cover-version is also included from Liaisons Dangereuses, 'Los Ninos Del Parque'.
Implant is better known in the rest of the world, than the Benelux, I guess. But 'Implantology' could or should change this. Give it a listen and if  you consider to buy it, go for the limited double-album. This means you will also get an exclusive remix-album with 'Implantology'-tracks re-recorded by acts like Xotox, The Horrorist, Attrition, Signal Août 42, Hypnoskull and more.
