When Endif started, it was more about harsh powernoise. Throughout the years that harshness faded a little bit and got more refined and structured. The music therefore became more accessible. Also this act moved from Crunch Pod Media to Tympanik Audio, which fits perfectly into their roster. Endif creates what you can define as IPM (Intelligent Powernoise Music). It somewhat sounds like what Terrorfakt would make if signed at Hymen Records.

Throughout the tracks there is a lot going on around it. It is therefore not just 4/4 club-music, but also good to listen at home. There are straighter powernoise approaches to some tracks, but also a lot of more electro-oriented tracks with industrial techno influences. This is what makes it more accessible. Because of all the sounds which go with the tracks, it has good replay value and doesn’t bore as fast as mere club-music. The use of samples is also done better then what the average act in this genre has to offer.

Some of the Terrorfakt influences can be heard on track 5, ‘surgery of the soul’, while track 8, ‘the answer’, is a more experimental track with sounds, akin to beatless Winterkälte track. Track 6, ‘last tribe’, is done in collaboration with Replogen, which is a pretty fast and experimental song. Track 9, ‘naked bloody and hungry’, is a fine electro-oriented track, which would do very good in the clubs. Also the last track is very good, which is a Pneumatic Detach remix of ‘police state’. This ends the album with a rather big bang. Good album and not just merely 4/4 powernoise club-music.
