Extended Playtime

<< Back

Terror Punk Syndicate is the aggro EBM project of John David Karlgren and the music he makes grabs back on the heydays of the well known Wax Trax label in the 90’s. The music consists of aggressive guitar driven EBM industrial rich in sampling, with catchy hooks and far away from modern dark electro and terror EBM styles.   With the music of Terror Punk Syndicate you have to think more of A Split Second, Die Krupps and Mussolini Headkick. Even with The Prodigy regarding some sounds and samples, like in ‘Dark is the Psyche of Man’. The production and sound of Extended Playtime however is fully from current times despite the retro music. Highlights are as far as i’m concerned next to the earlier mentioned track, the dark and atmospheric track ‘Horizon’ and the dancefloor centered songs ‘Here To Take You Down’, ‘Dysmorphia’, ‘Respect’ and ‘I Wish I was Retarded’. Extended Playtime is an excellent release but it comes about 15 years too late.
