World of Tomorrow

<< Back

This third cd of Genetic Selection continues the development into a more complex industrial-technosound, that had already been started with the previous album Darwin’s Voyage. With this Genetic Selection incorporates on World of Tomorrow more musical influences than before. The atmosphere still is predominantly phuturistic and sci-fi oriented with techno-industrial beats, breakbeats and compelx drum patterns and percussion as main ingredients, supplemented with influences from ambient (‘Whispers in the Dark’), industrial flavoured electro (‘A Man and His Droid’, ‘Dust Devil’) and classical choir music (‘Epic Dreams’). ‘Brotherhood of Steel’ is an industrial-electro track with vocals that is pretty accessible and club centered for Genetic Selection standards and could very well become a hit on the dancefloor. World of Tomorrow can be an album that is a bit hard to comprehend at first listen, yet it is worth the effort to give it some more time. It is the best album of Genetic Selection so far.
