Cooler Than Genocide

Experiment Haywire is the punk-industrial project of Rachel Haywire from Brooklyn, New York. She combines her jumpy punk-vocals with rolling and thundering techno-industrial beats and atmospheric soundscapes. This is all packaged into tracks with themes such as war, female empowermeny and corruption in politics, set in a post-apocalyptic society. This sounds pretty accomplished. Her way of singing reminds of S.I.N.A yet the music is quite variable and pretty riginal techno-industrial, with more or less influences and traces of Atari Teenage Riot, Hanin Elias, Babyland but also from industrial Neubauten style and of course modern dark techno acts. This EP disc is produced by Xris Fiam, who’s worked with a.o. Mindless Self Indulgence, Merzbow, DJ Spooky and Public Enemy. Experiment Haywire sounds very cool and this surely promises more for the future.
