Broken is the second album of Letum, the dark ambient project of Mattias Henriksson from Sweden. In 2001 he released his debut album as Letum with Cold Meat Industry. This album has dark ambient, noisy industrial and grand neo-classical choir accents such as we know from the early work of Raison d’Etre added to the drones and later on more pure and layered dark ambient with a cinematographic influence are more dominant in the compositions on this album. The atmosphere and sound on this album is depressive but really great. This is quality dark ambient and this cd offers yet other accents than for instance Raison d’Etre, Sephiroth or Desiderii Marginis. For fans of CMI music this Broken album is perhaps not suprising, but it is absolutely recommended.
