The infacted compilation series gets better which each edition. This third in the series offers a wide array of previously unreleased, exclusive or rare tracks and mixes in styles such as ebm, electropop and industrial-techno. The compilation starts off with the strong Modcom remix of VNV Nation’s ‘Chrome’, followed by the electropop of Conetik (in a remix of Frozen Plasma), Code 64, Iris and Frozen Plasma. Dark electro is represented with Obscenity Trial and Preemptive Strike. Necro Facility revives the days of Skinny Puppy with ‘Methane View’. A new league of electrobands is represented with the great ‘Something Trivial’ by Liquid Divine, and tracks of Richter and Z Prochek (remixed by Vigilante). Of XP8 the experimental remix of ‘Bleed & Shout’ by Angels & Agony is on this compilation and the old school league is represented by Orange Sector, Militant Cheerleaders on the Move and Sturm Café. The industrial-techno side is represented by the recent succesful acts Reaper (‘Das Grauen’) and Soman (‘Twister’) and newcomer NVMPH. This compilation will have a place in my DJ suitcase for the coming months and can be categorized alongside the better electro-ebm compilations such as Advanced Electronics, Cyberlab and Septic.
