This album is good. This fairly unknown band surprised some time ago with a three track promo with an excellent and gripping mixture of drum&bass and US industrial in the vein of Front line Assembly and that impression is confirmed even more on this album. Almost every song grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let you go. The songs have catchy hooks and heavy guitars and this combined with original synths and sampling. Highlights like ‘Functional Concrete’, ‘Damping Factor’ , ‘Corporation Tank’ and ‘Art of War’ show what could be done with the heritage of bands like FLA and Die Krupps, without degenerating into faceless cliche ebm or US industrial. Sometimes a totally unknown independent band without a recorddeal have more to offer than many well known names out there. Give Concept 7 a chance as this won’t let you down. This is a nice and coherent album.
